The role of Madrasah is becoming more important in educating the Muslim community especially in the rural areas of Cambodia. Madrasah Darul Umum Al Mubarekatul Khairiah is about 170km away from Phnom Penh and was built in 2018 to provide a place where children and teenagers can learn to recite as well as memorize Al-Quran. There are currently about 100 students, male and female along with 5 teachers. Most of them are from the same village of poor families and some are Musafir. To date, this Madrasah continues to grow rapidly to produce more Hafiz and Hafizah. As the number of Madrasah students increases every year, their learning equipment and daily necessities are also expanding such as the usage of Al-Quran, Rehal and whiteboards. We need your continuous support for the Madrasah to continue their noble work in educating and producing generations of resilient and well-educated young Muslims in Cambodia.

Water is fundamental to life, yet even today many people in the rural areas of Cambodia are struggling for access to clean and safe water sources. For the Surau congregation of Kampung Beng Perual, many must do a long walk carrying heavy buckets in search of water to perform their wudhu and most of these villagers are old folks. Water tanks will help ease that burden, InshaaAllah.
